Support for Families (Su & Mike Davis): Support for Families was created in 2017 and we have a base in Algoz that acts as a hub for local families and surrounding areas, supplying baby and children’s clothing new underwear, socks and shoes. Every year we give out school bags and material as well as Christmas presents and goodies for children. We also supply baby equipment, cots, prams, pushchairs etc.. and a “starter pack” of nappies and hygiene products for new babies. We rely very much on donations of children’s clothes and household items including white goods, bedding and towels and smaller pieces of furniture such as chest-of-drawers, small tables and chairs. We fund-raise to enable us to buy the new items we need. During our first year in Algoz we supported 97 families, who were struggling financially and gave school bags to 118 school pupils.

Algarve Emporium charity: has a team of 22 active volunteers headed by Caroline Langston.
Our primary role is to obtain and supply food to people in need in Tunes. This is a massive commitment costing over 500€ per week.
This is only made possible with cash donations, selling goods that are donated by our supporters and holding fun events. More than 86 families have been helped since we began over 5 years ago. 
Each food bag contains fresh meat, vegetables, fruit, eggs and milk, plus a selection of tins and dried staples, toilet paper and one other item they can select.  
We also offer clothes, linens and household goods to the families.
