The Press Museum is housed in the Casa Municipal da Cultura and tells the story of the evolution of the press and its importance over time for the dissemination of ideas and news, taking visitors back to the time when the newspaper was one of the most important means of communication. The museum houses an extensive typographic collection as well as machinery and equipment needed for the writing, printing and finishing of newspapers. It also has an important collection of engravings used for printing newspapers. The collection includes a printing press from 1885 and more recent machines to illustrate the development of typographic work from manual to mechanical design.

Das Pressemuseum ist im Casa Municipal da Cultura untergebracht und erzählt anhand von Zeugnissen der lokalen Presse die Entwicklung der Presse und ihre Bedeutung im Laufe der Zeit für die Verbreitung von Ideen und Nachrichten und versetzt die Besucher in die Zeit zurück, als die Zeitung eines der wichtigsten Nachrichtenmittel war. Das Museum beherbergt eine umfangreiche typografische Sammlung sowie Maschinen und Ausrüstungen, die für das Verfassen, den Druck und die Weiterverarbeitung von Zeitungen benötigt werden. Es besitzt auch eine bedeutende Sammlung von Stichen, die für den Druck der Zeitungen verwendet wurden. Die Sammlung umfasst eine Druckpresse aus dem Jahr 1885 sowie neuere Maschinen, um die Entwicklung der typografischen Arbeit von der manuellen zur maschinellen Gestaltung zu veranschaulichen.
