Welcome to afpop. I am the local Event Organiser for the Lagos Area and my function is to put on enjoyable events for our Members so that they may get to meet new friends and acquaintances. Most months during the season I arrange a meal out, either lunch or evening meal, or a day trip, just fun things to do. I have also organised holidays both in Portugal and Spain, wine tastings, Christmas Dinner Dance, mini-golf tournaments, quizzes, grape-picking & stomping and many other activities which may be of interest. My events are quite popular and often I can only take limited numbers which is why it is essential that you book with me to confirm your place before attending. My season runs from September to June as the restaurants are busy with holiday-makers in the summer months and therefore it is difficult for me to get good deals just for us.

At all events it is possible to bring guests – they do not have to be afpop Members but they will pay a slightly higher cost. I send a newsletter every few weeks to Members on my Social List so that they know what I am planning and can book early. It is also possible for you to receive newsletters from other Area Organisers, if you require them, please advise which areas you are interested in.
