This has become one our most popular events of the year.  And the pre-dinner cocktail party provides an opportunity to meet other guests, many new to Porto and Portugal.

The feedback last year was so positive we decided to have our event at the same place. They did an excellent job, and now with one American-style holiday under their belts, we're certain they'll outdo themselves this year. So back by popular demand we are having our Thanksgiving cocktail party and feast at Café Ceuta.

We are getting a late start and know there are a few other meals planned that have already been announced, so we chose a non-conflicting date. We decided to have it on Wednesday, the day before Thanksgiving, to accommodate other plans you may have.  

Café Ceuta is an iconic Porto restaurant and one of the most famous historic cafés in Porto.  Built in 1953, it is inspired by the Portuguese conquering of the city of Ceuta, in north Africa. The café was known to be frequented by ministers and other political figures. Traditionally used as a place for cultural gatherings and political encounters, it has been used as a backdrop in multiple films. After years of ruin, the café was resurrected in great detail to its original retro grandeur during the pandemic by Nuno Castro, our host for this Thanksgiving celebration.

When: Wednesday, November 25

Time: Cocktails and appetizers 6:00-7:30pm / Dinner 7:30pm to finish

Where: Rua de Ceuta 20, 4050-189, Porto

Cost: €55 per person in advance via MBWay, plus additional drinks (cash only)
