Let’s deal with February – a few places left for Monday 10th  Pro-Putting Garden & Peiking Chinese afterwards, €26.50 for members, €29.50 for guests.
 28th February, Luca’s Retaurant at the Carvi Hotel in Lagos, 12.30 for 1pm. This is now full but I have yet to start a reserve list so if you might like to come, let me know and you may be lucky should a cancellation occur.  For those who are already booked, can I have your meal choices if you have not yet informed me.  It is  Melon and Ham starter, Pork Loin stuffed with Plums and Walnuts OR Algarvian Rice Fish Stew OR Couscous with vegetables and raisins and a dessert of Fresh Fruit Salad OR Chocolate Mousse. The usual tip, ½ bottle of wine etc. is included for €22.50 (€25).  Payment for the above events can be made in advance to my Lagos Events fund at Credito Agricola:

As you may have heard, a serious medical emergency stopped my in my tracks for a while – thank you those who sent good wishes and kind messages. As we have celebrated my BIG events (both my 60th & 65th birthdays, my Ruby and Golden Wedding and the 10 yr and 15yr of being your AEO) with evenings of music and dancing,  I intended to do the same this time as it will be my 70th birthday in March.  However, hospitalisation meant I have not been up to arranging it though I have quickly sorted a lunch-time meal instead at one of the favourites : Tasco do Kiko on 20th March - couvert & tapas to be followed by your choice of:  Golden bream fillet with vegetable risotto and lemon and champagne sauce OR Roasted chicken breast wrapped in bacon OR Vegetable Risotto.  Our pud will be Caramel Fondant with vanilla ice-cream. Wines, water and coffee are included as is the tip for the price of €25 (guests €27).  You will need to book quickly as it is popular and has limited numbers.
And for April I am working on – when health allows it – a coach trip to the Salt Mines with a meal at a recommended restaurant.  No dates as yet, no proper itinerary, no costs, but it is on the cards and with the coach only holding 50 people, it will be first come, first served so again, getting your name down is very important.  Further details will follow in future newsletters.
All emails are dealt with though I may not be so fast in responding.  I hope that I can be back up to speed before too long…though maybe my days of kick-boxing may be over with! (As if!!)
